Sunday School - Adult Christian Education (ACE)
9:00 - 10:00am, beginning September 20th. Our Sunday School hour offers five classes for adults at the same time the children are in their classes; nursery care is available (inf. - age 4).
- The Book of Acts: Teacher - Bob Harkness
To study the book of Acts is to participate in an adventure of faith which began in Jerusalem and ended some 30 years later in Rome...While not written as history, the book of Acts gives us our only scriptural record of the beginnings of the Christian church...The story did not end with the book of Acts. It continues on today. It's now our turn to help establish God's Kingdom.
- THE CONNECTIONS CLASS : Teacher: Tom Adomat
"If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat", is a study of John Ortberg's best selling book using his DVD teaching segments, the Bible, plus other resources. We will discuss how to discover and embrace God's special call on our lives. How to step out in faith, and experience God's power working in us. Are you ready to leave your comfortable boat and walk on water just like Peter?
- HOPE FOR THE HOME : Facilitators: Leadership rotates among a team of ten leaders
“Hope for the Home” is a continuation of a class begun last year with new topics pertaining to families, such as how to teach morals and ethics to our children, building strong marriages, the challenges of single parenting, improving the quality of our personal prayer time, and much more. Large and small group discussion, DVD programs and guest speakers are a part of the variety of presentations used.
- MEN'S CLASS :
- This men's study offers men a unique opportunity for sharing through biblical insights and practical suggestions. Topics are decided among the participants.
- PSALMS: Facilitators: Glenn Cook and Dan Romero
- This is a new class promising to be a fascinating study from the perspective of its high Christology, the way it shapes our practice and understanding of prayer, and its honesty.
- HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL
Provides biblical theological conversations for Junior and Senior High School students using the Bible and supplementary resources like Concise Theology by James Packer and the Foundations curriculum by Tom Holladay and Kay Warren. We aim to create an encouraging, spiritual, personal, and social atmosphere while developing our knowledge of God. - It is a great way for students to meet each other!
