Statement of Faith

It is Our Vision...

  • To encourage vital, God-centered worship;
  • To nurture believers to spiritual maturity;
  • To equip them to have a positive impact on all of their relationships; and
  • To focus on outreach through ministries that address suburban needs and interests.

Our Core Values

  • The Gospel - The gospel is the good news that through Christ the power of God's kingdom has entered history to renew the whole world. When we believe and rely on Jesus' work and record (rather than ours) for our relationship to God, that kingdom power comes upon us and begins to work through us.
  • Changed People - The Gospel changes people from the inside out. Christ gives us a radically new identity, freeing us from both self-righteousness and self-condemnation. He liberates us to accept people we once excluded, and to break the bondage of things that once drove us. The more we grow in faith and live out that faith the more we change to be like Him.
  • Our Neighbors - We believe that nothing promotes the peace and health of our communities like the spread of faith in the gospel. It renews both individual lives and the fabric of whole neighborhoods.
  • Real Community - The gospel creates a new community. It is a fellowship that finds completeness as each individual contributes their gifts and resources. In this community as we serve one another, love one another, and hold each other accountable we are transformed into the likeness of Christ.
  • Partnership - We believe we are called to be part of God's movement in redeeming the world. As an individual church we are limited but as we partner with other churches and ministries we can have global impact.
  • Preparing the Next Generation - In a very short time the next generation will be taking over the leadership of Grace Chapel and placces like it. We are committed to preparing them so when their time comes they will thrive in their calling.

We Believe

  • the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative written Word of God.
  • that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
  • in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • in the spiritual unity of all believers in Jesus Christ.
